PURPLE PRINTS
Erdem Vivienne Westwood Red Label Christopher Kane
|
Purple is a very regal color and just so happens to look great on almost every skin tone. Coming in an abundance of shades, purple can be worn with a bunch of different options. Now that purple prints are a new trend for the Fall, the color is not only versatile, it's playful! With looks from Erdem, Vivienne Westwood and Christopher Kane, there are many ways this trend can be worn. Erdem presented this trend as a head to toe set, Vivienne Westwood simply paired this great black and purple tribal print dress with a basic black shoe, and for Christopher Kane, mix-and-matching purple prints was the look! Whether you're into a more sophisticated look of classic plaids, into tribal prints, or an all around fun and risk taking fashionista that isnt afraid to mix and match florals and animal prints, this trend of purple prints will work great for you! This Fall be bold and incorporate these looks of purple prints into your wardrobe!
BLACK & WHITE
Osman Jovani Nicole Farhi |
Wearing black and white is the most classic way to pull off a sophisticated look! Along with Osman, Antonio Beradi and Nicole Farhi, designers and fashion brands such as Giles, Paul Smith, Simone Rocha and Pringles of Scotland have all incorporated this classic trend of black and white into their Fall/Winter 2012 collections. White tops and black bottoms (i.e. skirts, shorts, pants) is the most common way to pull of this look. With floral embroidery on the collar and cuff of their shirt, Osman added a twist to this trend. Doing that instantly adds a feminine touch to this masculine inspired look. Pairing a basic white blouse with a textured black pant is how Nicole Farhi incorporated this trend in her collection. Being that black and white are opposite colors, figuring out ways to wear these colors are more versatile than you think. For evening wear, reverse it! Instead of doing a white top with a black bottom, do the exact opposite as Jovani did in Jovani style 171514. Black and white dresses would be the best way to pull off this look for evening wear. Test the extent of your style by pulling off black and white without looking boring. Unsure as to how to go about doing so? Just take a look at any Fall/Winter collection from London Fashion Week!
NEON
Holly Fulton Acne Mulberry |
Bright colors were also a major color trend presented during London Fashion Week. Neon colors such as hot pink, electric blue, lime green, and hot orange were presented in a bunch of collections as the go to pop of color! With all of the neutral colors of black, white, and metallic seen in each Fall/Winter 2012 collection, these bright pops of color were much needed! Holly Fulton, Acne and Mulberry incorporated this trend in their collections the most, presenting the fashion world with wonderful ways to pull it off! Holly Fulton went bright and bold with silk dresses, skirts, tops and jackets in this electrifying bright blue which all consisted of intense bold prints! Acne presented two lime green looks in their collection pairing it with neutral colored shoes and accessories. For Mulberry, going full blown bright and bold with a monochromatic look was the way to go! Whether you're into bright colors and bold prints, neons and neutrals, or a full head to toe ensemble of a hot color, this neon color trend will work great with which ever way you decide to pull it off!
PEPLUM
David Koma Jovani Burberry Prorsum

Peplums were a popular trend during New York Fashion Week, it was a major trend during London Fashion Week and we believe this will be an ongoing trend in Milan and Paris! Peplum silhouettes are sexy, classy, sophisticated and uber chic! This trend provides woman with an hourglass figure creating a very feminine look. Using skirts, dresses, and outwear, British designers and brands have presented this trends in so many ways. David Koma and Burberry Prorsum mastered this trend in their collections. With an array of skirts, dresses and jackets, these two have both innovated this sophisticated trend making it very chic! Jovani collections also has peplum silhouettes such as the beautiful tiered black and white dress in the photo above. No matter what article of clothing, wearing a garment with a peplum silhoutte is one of the most sexiest trends to go for next season!
